Studio Jonathan Wilde is based on simple ideas. We believe good design can improve the quality of the world around us. We take responsibility for the materials we use and practices we implement. And we are constantly searching for new materials, new partnerships, new processes and methods (and interns), but at the core of our work is a strong work ethic and a dedication to mastery.
Jonathan Wilde is a trained architect and has experience in residential framing under the grey skies of Seattle; on the production floor, design team, and install team at Henrybuilt; as a machinist at the University of Kansas; as a carpenter with Hurst Construction; and as an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas teaching second-year architecture studios and a graduate-level design/ build studio. His interests and sense of adventure have taken him far from the studio, from working on the rivers of the Payette in Idaho as a raft guide and kayak instructor, to a three-month road trip rock climbing through the western part of the US, and is currently coaching part-time at CrossFit Shawnee with a level-one CrossFit Certification. He runs Studio Jonathan Wilde as a designer, maker, and problem-solver.
